The Red Curtain stage has seen some incredible child and teen talent each summer, and we are thrilled to announce the official merging of our Springboard and Summer Stars programs into one single educational performance! The show this summer is the hilarious and poignant musical Urinetown, with enrollment open for ages 10-18.
In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity’s most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides that he’s had enough and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom!
This show will be directed by Scott B. Randall. The program will begin June 22, with classes meeting Sunday-Thursday 4-6:30pm. Performances are August 1-2, 8-9, with a 7pm show on Fridays and both a 1pm and 7pm show on Saturdays. Tuition is $350 per student, with financial aid available upon request. Enrollment is currently open, so click the button to the right to sign up!
We are a river! Hope to see you this summer!
Get ready for Red Curtain's Summer Stars. The popular program encourages kid and teen actors to blossom as they learn the critical skills of teamwork, mutual respect, and self-discipline using the tools of musical theatre storytelling. The goal of Summer Stars is to allow students to participate in the production of a musical that's a bit beyond typical high school fare. Our program focuses on the process, not the product, while creating memorable performances and life-long friendships.
