Summer Stars students will have an incredible opportunity to be a part of the small-cast musical "The Trail to Oregon," with music and lyrics by Jeff Blim, and book by Jeff Blim, Matt Lang, and Nick Lang. The musical parodies the video game series The Oregon Trail. The characters' names are picked from suggestions shouted from the audience, and at the end the audience chooses which character dies (from dysentery?).
Note that the Red Curtain production will use the "all-ages" version of the show. The program is directed by Scott B Randall, with musical direction by Drew Winston.
Summer Stars begins June 26 and runs thru August 4, Sunday thru Thursdays, 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. Performances are set for August 5-6, 12-13. The production is open to students aged 15-19, of all experience levels. Tuition for the 6-week program is $325, plus $25 for script and administrative costs. A $100 deposit* holds your student's place in the program, with the balance due by June 26.
*Note that online registration does not accommodate partial payments. You may call the office at (360) 322-7402 to pay just the deposit or make other arrangements.
