NOTE: Summer Stars is still planned to take place as scheduled, assuming the restrictions on gatherings are lifted by this summer. Please note that deposits made are fully refundable if the program cannot happen this summer.
Spend your summer making theatre! Students will be part of an exciting musical production that comes together over 6 weeks of rehearsal. The program aims to produce shows that are beyond the reach of most high school drama departments while still being relevant and interesting to young actors, parents, and the community. Red Curtain is thrilled to announce that we have been granted the rights to produce the hilarious Broadway hit, "Something Rotten!" for this year's Summer Stars production.
The program is directed by theatre professionals including a stage director, musical director, choreographer, orchestra leader, and backstage crew.
Auditions will be held the week of June 29 (exact schedule to be announced later). All registered students will be cast in the show. Classes/rehearsals start July 6, with rehearsals 5 days a week (Sundays through Thursdays), 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Performances are August 14, 15 and 16, with four shows total. All rehearsals and performances are at the Red Curtain Arts Center, 9315 State Ave. #J, Marysville.
Total cost for this intensive performance experience is $305 per student. A $90 deposit holds your spot, with the balance due the first day of auditions (June 29). Red Curtain offers family/multi-student discounts, and a limited number of partial scholarships are available. To find out more, email our office.
Use the Class Registration form to reserve your space in the 2020 Summer Stars program. Our office will contact you to arrange for payment of the $90 deposit (or full tuition if preferred) within a day or so.
