Here's a "hot" way to help Red Curtain fund its fire and safety upgrades -- with a smokin' burlesque show featuring local entertainers, organized by Celeste Moody. Tickets and additional information available soon!
Not the same old auction! Enjoy an evening of hilarious stand-up comedy, accompanied by appetizers, wine and beer, and the chance to win fabulous prize raffles! This is Red Curtain's major annual fundraiser event. If you'd like to donate a product or service for the raffle, contact the office!
The next big project to tackle at the arts center is the installation of additional sprinkler heads to ensure guest safety.
The fact that the facility was sprinklered when we moved in was a huge benefit, but when we added upstairs spaces, the areas downstairs were no longer covered by the existing sprinkler layout. So we must install sprinkler heads in the two restrooms, the office, under the stairwell, and in the greenroom.
Bids for the work -- which must be done by a licensed, bonded fire protection services company -- have ranged from $14,000 to $22,000. We've started writing grant proposals to help pay for the project, and guests at the recent auction also added to the sprinkler fund through the Bid-A-Project bidding.
You can support this critical part of the arts center construction project by donating today via PayPal (click on the Donate button below). Designate the sprinkler system in your comments/notes, and we'll categorize the donation for that use only. Of course, we also accept checks and donations by credit card!
