Red Curtain presents the classic musical about the Princess and the Pea "Once Upon a Mattress", directed by Scott B Randall. Performances are May 23-June 8, 2025, with Friday and Saturday shows at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. The May 24th performance will be ASL-interpreted.

Prince Dauntless has one wish—to be happily married so his kingdom’s curse can be lifted and he can find his true love. Only one thing stands in his way—his mother, Queen Aggravain. She has put into law that until the Prince is married, no one in the kingdom can get married, which creates a huge problem for Sir Harry and Lady Larken, who are keen to start a family. When an unlikely suitor from the swamplands arrives in court to woo the Prince, she throws the queen’s plans into disarray and shows that love is much more than skin-deep.

"Once Upon a Mattress" is a well loved musical, with breathtaking dance numbers, quick-witted comedy, and more than one romance sure to steal your heart. The show is rated PG-13 and suitable for most audiences.
