A tragedy in the classic form. Eddie is a longshoreman who seems to be an admirable family man. When two of his wife’s Italian cousins are smuggled into this country, he makes room for them in his home. Gratefully they move in among his wife, and the teenage niece whom he has brought up as his daughter. One of the young men begins courting his benefactor’s niece, a monstrous change creeps up on the kind and loving uncle. This is an intensely absorbing drama, sure of itself every step of the way. It makes no false moves, wastes no time and has the beauty that comes from directness and simplicity.
"Anne of Green Gables" by Peter DeLaurier
Rated G - appropriate for most audiences
When aging brother and sister Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert send to the orphanage in Nova Scotia for a boy to help them on the farm, they get more than they bargain for. Due to a mix-up, they are instead left with 11-year-old Anne Shirley. Over the course of six years, this romantic, hot-headed, and energetic girl wins their hearts and turns the stodgy, rural Canadian community into a bright world of "kindred spirits." This swift yet theatrical adaptation of the classic novel is an all-ages crowd-pleaser.
"Lend Me a Tenor" by Ken Ludwig

Rated PG - mild language, adult situations, sexual comedy
Set in September 1934, Saunders, the general manager of the Cleveland Grand Opera Company, is primed to welcome world-famous singer Tito Merelli, the greatest tenor of his generation, to appear for one night only as the star of the opera. Through a hilarious series of mishaps, he is given a double dose of tranquilizers and passes out and is believed to be dead! In a frantic attempt to salvage the evening, Saunders persuades Max to get into Merelli's costume and fool the audience into thinking he's the beloved star…until Merelli regains consciousness and gets into the identical costume, ready to perform. Now two opera singers are running around in the same costume as chaos is unleashed in the opera house. A sensation on Broadway and in London's West End, this madcap, screwball comedy is guaranteed to leave audiences teary-eyed with laughter.
