Get ready for Red Curtain's Springboard! The popular program challenges young actors to blossom as they learn the critical skills of teamwork, mutual respect, and self-discipline using the tools of musical theatre storytelling.
The program is designed for students ages 9 to 13, with rehearsals four days a week for six weeks, followed by a weekend of public performances of a fully-staged musical.
The schedule: Classes will begin May 20, 2024, with rehearsals Monday thru Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. (No rehearsal May 27, Memorial Day.) Performances are set for June 28-29. All registered students will be cast in the production. The schedule and expectations for auditions will be shared soon.
Tuition is $315, plus a $25 materials fee. A $100 deposit holds your student's place, with the balance due the first day of class. Use the button to register and pay in full -- or call the office at (360) 322-7402 to register with a partial payment.
NEW INFO: The Marysville Noon Rotary has generously made a grant for ten $250 scholarships for Springboard and/or Summer Stars. To apply, your student must submit a brief essay about "why they want to participate in the theatre program" to office@redcurtainfoundation.org. Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 1.
Students will have a fun and educational experience bringing the underwater world of "Rainbow Fish" to life on stage. The well-loved story, with its wonderful message of friendship and belonging, features a variety of charming school and sea-creature characters who admire the famous Rainbow Fish, the most beautiful fish in all the ocean. But Octopus helps the young fish learn that it’s far better to be admired for being kind than for being beautiful.
