Looking for a theatre project for the summer that won’t eat up too much of the precious sunny days? We’ve got you covered—presenting Red Curtain's 2nd Annual 48-Hour PlayFest!
After a wildly successful debut last year, the 48-Hour PlayFest returns Friday, July 17th, through Sunday, July 19, and is sure to be a chaotically good time! Participants will gather at the Red Curtain Arts Center (9315 State Ave #J, Marysville) on Friday at 7pm for the kickoff celebration where teams will be formed and guidelines for the event will be distributed.
Teams will begin work on their 10-minute plays immediately, working overnight and all day Saturday (sleeping Friday night at RCF is recommended but not required) to write, rehearse and polish their original short play, to be performed Saturday and Sunday, with a wrap party Sunday evening.
While you can register for multiple categories, each participant will ultimately be selected for only one role in the festival (i.e., you can sign up as a writer, director and musician, but you will only be selected for one of those jobs). Please fill out all contact and allergy/medical info completely, as it relates to the event.
Participants will be notified by July 1.
