One of the most spine-tingling horror plays ever written, Woman in Black, follows an aging lawyer’s retelling of his horrific experiences as a young clerk. Set in the late-1800s, the young man is sent to a reclusive mansion on the moors of Scotland to put a recently-deceased woman’s affairs in order. While isolated in the abandoned home, he is subject to all manners of supernatural frights, and haunted by the Woman in Black.
The Red Curtain Arts Center is located in the Goodwill retail center at 9315 State Avenue, Suite J -- at the rear of the commercial building. With more than 10,000 square feet, the location includes a 110-seat performance space, lobby area with sparkling restrooms, rehearsal and classroom spaces, and shop areas.
The Red Curtain Arts Center is an intimate venue, perfect for experiencing live theatre and music events. Red Curtain produces seven mainstage plays each season, two fully-staged student productions, plus concerts featuring local musicians, standup comedy, improv evenings, and other special events.
Excellence in arts education is important to Red Curtain's staff and leadership. RCF offers ongoing, year-round classes and workshops in performing arts for kids, teens, adults, and seniors, as well as special immersive production opportunities for kids and teens in the spring and summer.
Red Curtain Foundation for the Arts is committed to increasing accessibility and appreciation of the visual and performing arts for students, artists, technicians, audiences and patrons in the Snohomish County area through education, productions, and exhibits.
The Board of Directors for Red Curtain Foundation for the Arts recognizes that we are located on Indigenous Lands, the ancestral homelands of the Coast Salish People, specifically the Tulalip Tribes, successors in interest to the Snohomish, Snoqualmie, Skykomish, and other allied tribes signatory to the 1855 Point Elliott Treaty. Since time immemorial the Coast Salish People have hunted, fished, gathered, and taken care of these lands. We respect their sovereignty and their right to self-determination, and we honor their sacred spiritual connection with the land and water.
We'd love to add you to our mailing list, or invite you to the art center for a tour. We produce live theatre in Marysville, in the Goodwill shopping center. Entrance to the arts center is in the back of the building, behind the EvCC Cosmetology School.
